Williamstown Police seeking hit-and-run driver who struck pedestrian on Route 7

WILLIAMSTOWN — Police are seeking the public's help identifying a vehicle that struck a local woman on Route 7 on Saturday night.

Wendy McCarthy, 51, was found lying on Cold Spring Road, slightly south of the '6 House Pub, about 9:26 p.m.

McCarthy suffered serious injuries to her right side, but police said they did not believe the be life threatening.

Police said the vehicle, which was heading south, may have damage to its driver's side front end and missing the driver's side mirror. Parts found at the scene indicate the vehicle is a 2012 to 2014 black Ford Escape.
