Williamstown: Preschool installs security system

The Williamstown Community Preschool has recently installed a security system, a move made possible by their 2012 purchase of the historic building located on Main Street.

The new system includes audio and video monitors and automatic locking doors. During school hours, the doors remain locked and visitors to the school must press a button to alert school officials of their presence.

Staff can then choose to open the door at the push of a button.

Lee Audio and Security installed the system, which cost nearly $4,800. A grant from the Fund for Williamstown covered more than half of the installation fee.
