Williamstown: Professor to discuss local food phenomenon

Philip Ackerman-Leist, associate professor of environmental studies at Green Mountain College, will present a lecture at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Griffin Hall, room 3, at Williams College. The event is free and open to the public.

Ackerman-Leist will discuss his new book, "Rebuilding the Foodshed: How to Create Local, Sustainable and Secure Food Systems."

The event is co-sponsored by the Sustainable Food & Agriculture Program and the Center for Environmental Studies. Water Street Books will be at the event selling the book.
