Williamstown: Students to perform in Tri-District Choral Festival

Students in grades 4 through 8 will come together in song at the Tri-District Choral Festival at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, in the Mount Greylock Regional School auditorium.

Thanks to the support of the Williams College Fund, The Friends of the Arts, the Lanesborough Elementary School PTO, and the Tri-District School Collaborative, this festival begins what staff in the tri-district hope is a tradition of uniting students in song.

The group of 30 students -- composed of singers from Mount Greylock middle school, Lanesborough and Williamstown elementary schools, and guests from Hancock Elementary and Pine Cobble School -- practiced together on Saturdays in January.

The entire chorus will perform four pieces, and each participating school will sing individual selections.

No tickets are required and the concert is free and open to the public.
