Williamstown: Williams College Faculty Lectures to open Thursday


Ngonidzashe Munemo, associate professor of political science and chair of the international studies program, will present the first lecture in Williams College’s annual Faculty Lecture Series on Thursday, Feb. 13.

The talk, titled "Elite Games, Institutional Choice, and Stability in Post-Reform Africa," will take place at 4:15 p.m. in Wege Auditorium, Thompson Chemistry.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in Schow atrium.

This year’s lecture series will include five more lectures, at 4:15 p.m. over the next five consecutive Thursdays.

The next speaker is associate professor of computer science Jeannie Albrecht, who will present a talk titled "Detecting and Predicting Occupancy in a Smart Home."

The other speakers are Gene Bell-Villada, Jason Ananda Josephson, Amy Holzapfel, and Lisa Gilbert.
