Williamstown: Williams College to present French Film Festival


The 2016 Tournées/Williams College French Film Festival will take place once a week at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15, 22, and March 2, 9, and 16. On Feb. 29, the film will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Images Cinema, 50 Spring St., will show three films in February, and the three films in March will be screened at the Paresky Auditorium on the Williams College campus.

This year's theme is "In/dependence: Capturing Women in (New) French Cinema." All films are in French with English subtitles.

The films include "Camille Claudel, 1915," Feb. 15; "Abus de faiblesse/Abuse of Weakness" Feb. 22; "La noiraude" (2005) and "Bande de filles/Girlhood," Feb. 29; "Alphaville," March 2; "La religieuse/The Nun," March 9; and "L'Apollonide/House of Pleasures," March 16.

The screenings are free and open to the public.
