Williamstown: Williams to compete on TV trivia show
Williams College will take on Amherst College in "Schooled: NESN’s College Face Off." NESN will air the program at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6,
This competitive trivia series features eight different New England colleges. In each episode, three students from two schools compete in a single-elimination tournament. Alex Kling ‘16, Lysa Vola ‘13, and Marty Clarke ‘14 make up the team from Williams.
In each half-hour episode of "Schooled," college teams compete in academic and intelligence-based challenges meant to test contestants in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations. The winning team at the end of each episode moves forward in the bracket, and the losing team is eliminated. The ultimate winning team will receive cash and prizes.
The second season of the seven-episode series began on Tuesday, Oct. 30, when Harvard University defeated Boston College. If Williams College wins its match, it will face Harvard University in the next round, airing later this fall.
Other schools participating in the tournament are the University of New Hampshire, University of Vermont, Norwich University, and Providence College, last season’s champion. The reality show is directed by Scott Masterson and hosted by comedian Michael Showalter.
