Williamstown: Williams to host Law Day discussion on voting rights


The Williams College Law Society is hosting a Law Day discussion on voting rights at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Williams College in Griffin Hall, Room 3, 844 Main St.

The discussion will feature Professor Alex Keyssar, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; Professor Emeritus Alex Willingham, Political Science Department, Williams College; and Hannah Fried ‘04, deputy director for Voter Protection, Democratic National Committee.

With the approach of the 50th anniversaries of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the American Bar Association’s Law Day theme is "American Democracy and the Rule of Law: Why Every Vote Matters."

This event is free and open to the public.
