Williamstown: Williams to host soloist competition


The Williams College Department of Music will present the annual Berkshire Symphony Student Soloist Competition at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus.

There are also two pre-competition studio recitals at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall. These free events are open to the public.

The competition is open to Williams College students who have completed required instrumental or vocal studies, are enrolled in qualifying courses, and have been recommended by their instrumental or vocal teachers.

Competition winners appear with the Berkshire Symphony on Friday, April 25, in Chapin Hall, a concert showcasing the talents of Williams students.
