Windsor roll-over sends two to hospital

WINDSOR -- Two men were sent to the hospital after a one-vehicle accident in Windsor early Saturday morning.

Windsor Police and Windsor Ambulance Company responded at about 4:20 a.m. to Worthington Road, where the vehicle had rolled over.

Windsor Police Sgt. Thomas Barnaby said the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn, rolled over and struck a guardrail. "Speed was a factor," he said. Worthington Road connects to Route 9.

They were both conscious and their injuries were not life-threatening, Barnaby said.

They were identified as John Copelande, 25, and Lavone McClendon, 26, both of Hudson, New York.

The two men were transported to Berkshire Medical Center where they were being treated for their injuries.
