Windsor: Walk to stop proposed pipeline

The recently formed Sugar Shack Alliance is holding a four-day, 53-mile intergenerational walk called "Taking Steps to a Renewable Future," beginning Thursday, March 17.

The walk follows roads near the proposed route of the Kinder Morgan Northeast Energy Direct pipeline from Windsor to Northfield, both proposed as sites for pipeline compressor stations.

The walk will pass through Windsor, Cummington, Plainfield, Ashfield, Buckland, Shelburne Falls, Greenfield, Turners Falls, Millers Falls, ending in Northfield on March 20.

Walkers may join in any part of the walk.
