Worcester man convicted of killing cousin faces sentencing

WORCESTER, MASS. >> A Massachusetts man convicted of killing his cousin in a bar parking lot after their business partnership turned soured faces sentencing.

Peter Jasper faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the chance for parole at sentencing Monday in Worcester Superior Court.

The 49-year-old Worcester man was convicted last week of first-degree murder in the 2014 shooting death of Paul Milluzzo.

The 45-year-old Milluzzo, of Leicester, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the ground outside his vehicle in the parking lot of Smitty's Tavern.

Prosecutors say the men had been close growing up but the friendship deteriorated over a failed business partnership. Prosecutors say the killing was an act of rage that was years in the making.
