Worthington: Wetzler to perform winter concert

Award-winning singer, songwriter, recording artist, and ethnic folklorist Laura Wetzler will perform "Songs for a Winter’s Night" at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Worthington Historical Society, Routes 112 and 143.

With special guest Wes Brown on stand-up bass, Wetzler will perform original Hilltown story songs and world beat Jewish music from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and celebrations of the Great American Songbook.

Wetzler has shared stages with such artists as Pete Seeger, Odetta, Richie Havens, and the Klezmatics.

This event is presented by Hilltown Arts Alive in conjunction with the Worthington Historical Society. There is a suggested donation of $10.
