Wrong place for Dunkin' project
Thank goodness for the sanity of the Pittsfield Community Development board to reject the Dunkin’ Donuts project that would tear down an historic building while creating another car-centric asphalt-filled property.
I have no issues with Dunkin’ Donuts, but there are enough empty lots in Pittsfield. Please choose one of those to put up an "anywhere in America" establishment.
At a time when Pittsfield is trying to attract tourism and above minimum wage jobs, I beseech the Pittsfield City Council to reject granting a special permit. It might be a difficult decision during these trying economic times, but Pittsfield, its citizens and tax base will benefit in the long run.
