Young artists at BCC

Today, Berkshire Community College's Young Artist Series will present a concert and Q&A with Michael Wartella, a performing artist originally from the Berkshires.

Wartella has performed in numerous Broadway, off-Broadway and touring productions including: "Wicked," "Rent," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," among others. He will be accompanied by another Berkshire talent, Carlton Maaia II, who will be joined by Berkshire bassist Alex Hayes.

Earlier in the day, Wartella and Maaia will conduct a free 3 p.m. master class for area high school and college students. The general admission concert will be held at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

Both will take place in BCC's Boland Theatre located on the main campus in Pittsfield at 1350 West St..
