The Chatham, N.Y., performance space offers a rich summer festival this year. On July 29, it celebrates Art Omi’s 25th anniversary with a program by Stephanie Miracle and Monstah Black. RIOULT Dance NY performs two works on Aug. 12 and 13. The Chase Brock experience enlivens the state on August 19. Brock, who choreographed Spider-Man, will give a talk at the library the day of the performance.

Dance Heginbotham returns on Aug. 26 and 27 with three dances, including “Waltz Ending,” featuring the music of Scott Joplin, as well as a workshop for kids and families.

Parsons Dance returns for its 11th year to perform on Sept. 2 and 3. “Almah: is the finished form of the work the company presented last year in open rehearsals.

Mahaiwe Theater

This summer features the return of two area favorites.

MOMIX will return for its 35th anniversary with performances on July 2 and 3, with pre-show talks by Artistic Director Moses Pendleton. The company will present a best-of performance of past works, as well as a number of new pieces for the celebration. 

Paul Taylor Dance continues to build its relationship with Great Barrington during its ninth consecutive summer appearance at the theater on July 22 and 23, featuring three performances including a matinee of “Snow White” and a screening of the documentary about Taylor on July 17.

The summer line-up features “The Ever Unfolding Present: Music & Dance” by Geoffrey Gee & Kimerer LaMothe, an evening of improvisation on Aug. 20. Gee is a pianist, Kimerer is a dancer, and together their performances address the vibrancy of human experience.

The Clark Art Institute

The Art of Flamenco will feature Spanish Flamenco dancer Belén Maya and guitarist José Luis Rodríguez on July 12. The afternoon appearance will offer a lecture from Maya, as well as a demonstration of the dance style she has mastered.
