The North Adams Public Schools continues its parent orientation program intended to improve communication between home and school and to make the learning process more effective from the start of the school year.

This initiative provides a chance for parents and teachers to become acquainted, allows teachers to explain the program and their expectations to parents, and offers parents an opportunity to inform the teacher of any special information regarding their child.

These orientation sessions will be held on Wednesday Sept. 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Drury Senior High School, and Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Brayton, Greylock and Sullivan elementary schools.

In addition, there will be a senior and senior parent meeting at Drury at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
