Festival of Trees 2012, "Myths & Magic," opens at the Berkshire Museum on Friday, Nov. 16, with a gala opening celebration, and will be on view to the public from Saturday, Nov. 17, through Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.
The 28th annual holiday event will feature more than 100 twinkling holiday trees, decked in colorful ornaments representing the mythical, magical realms of legend and lore, arranged throughout the Museum’s galleries.
The decorated trees are sponsored by businesses, schools, and community organizations, inspired by this year’s theme of "Myths & Magic."
A fundraiser for Berkshire Museum, the proceeds benefit the education programs that serve more than 16,000 students every year.
The opening celebration will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, featuring family-friendly entertainment and treats, all among the glittering trees gracing the galleries.
Tickets are $50 adult, $25 child; Museum members: $30 adult, $15 child. RSVP by Nov. 12 by calling (413) 443-7171, ext. 42.
