Pittsfield: Organ recital to highlight Bach’s early works

Berkshire Bach will present "Bach Before Forty," an organ recital performed by Peter Sykes, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 67 East St.

The program includes toccatas, preludes and fugues and shows the promise of the young Bach, who wrote much of his organ music as a young man.

The cost is $25 for the general public and $20 for members of Berkshire Bach, AGO and OLLI. Students are free with ID.
