The history of the town’s main commercial street will be traced in a free lecture at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Williamstown Historical Museum.
Rita Watson will discuss Spring Street’s evolution from a residential thoroughfare to the commercial "hub" of the town. She will guide a virtual stroll on the street with stops at each building.
Long-established businesses will be recalled, as will those that once occupied various spaces.
The museum is located in the Milne Public Library. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment.
