In recognition of Women’s History Month, Norman Rockwell Museum Curator of Education Thomas Daly will present "Positive Images of Women in the Work of Norman Rockwell" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, at the New Lebanon Library, 550 State Route 20.
The presentation will explore the positive images of women that Norman Rockwell created during his career as an illustrator for books and magazines.
Daly will share images that tell the story of the importance of women’s roles during the 20th century in such paintings as "The Problem We All Live With," "Rosie the Riveter," and "Political Opponents," as well as many other Rockwell images, and will connect these images to national and local figures to illustrate the current events of those times.
This program is free and open to the public.
