On Friday, chefs Brian Alberg of The Red Lion Inn and Zee Vassos of The Kitchen on the Commons will be cooking up grub for the "Rock N’ Roll BBQ Fundraiser" lunch event to benefit Railroad Street Youth Project in Great Barrington.
This event, hosted by Lester Blumenthal, takes place at Route 7 Grill in Great Barrington from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and features live music from The Interlopers, as well as all-you-can-eat burgers, brats, chicken, salads, watermelon, iced tea and lemonade.

Downtown Pittsfield Inc. will present the 22nd annual Wing Fling on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. at a new venue this year, Wahconah Park in Pittsfield.
More than 20 area restaurants will dish out their best chicken wings and ribs to be tasted and voted on by both a panel of judges and attendees at large.
Local bands Whiskey City and Static will be on site to entertain the crowds.

Tonight, during Pittsfield’s Third Thursdays events, The Town Players of Pittsfield will present a staged reading of "Up On the Roof" written by Mark Harvey Levine and directed by Michael P.
This 10-minute play is about a couple in love, portrayed by cast members Denise Roller and Jamie Trie.
The staged reading will be presented at 5:30, 6:15 and again at 7 p.m. at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Ave., Pittsfield. Admission is free but donations will be accepted at the door.
On Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., local and internationally touring musicians Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion will present an album showcase and songwriting Q&A at Wood Bros. music shop in Pittsfield, located at Allendale Shopping Center.
The event will feature the duo’s new album, "Wassaic Way."

On Friday at 5 p.m., Shakespeare & Young Company Players will showcase their eight weeks of intense training in their final performance at The Rose Footprint theater at the Shakespeare & Company Kemble Street campus in Lenox.
They will be presenting a 45-minute, plot-driven, reimagining of "Hamlet," with three different actors playing three different Hamlets; and "Another Part of the Forest," a mash-up of the Shakespeare classes "As You Like It" and "A Midsummer Night’s Dream."
