A look at the storm effects in Berkshire County at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday:

Power: Berkshire County's two utilities were reporting outages on Tuesday afternoon; those included nearly 10,000 customers in areas served by National Grid and Western Massachusetts Electric Co.

About 9,700 customers were without power throughout Berkshire County's 32 cities and towns on Tuesday morning.

The most widespread outages served by Western Massachusetts Electric Co. were reported in Washington where nearly all had no power, and in Windsor, Richmond and Hinsdale, where more than half were without power.

The hardest hit Berkshire County towns served by National Grid include Mount Washington where all of the town's 176 customers have no power; in Egremont and Hancock, where nearly half have no power; and in Lenox, where nearly a third have no power. In each area, National Grid was reporting that it was assessing the condition, and no timetable was offered for restoration of service.

Statewide: Utilities companies are reporting nearly 296,000 electricity customers without power as of 11 a.m.

Roads closed: As of Tuesday at 1 p.m., Washington Mountain Road near the Becket town line and Bucksteep Manor is closed, with Washington highway crews working to clear it. Great Barrington Police Department reported that all previously closed roads have been re-opened. Richmond Mountain Road in Lenox was reported to be closed.

Damage: Emergency crews are working to clean up numerous downed trees, limbs and power lines. There were at least two homes in Pittsfield where large sections of trees, or the entire tree, had fallen into homes. Overall, about 20 trees fell in Pittsfield. Limbs and branches in Pittsfield should be brought to the tree line starting Thursday for pickup at a schedule to be determined; city crews will canvas the city for a week to pick up tree litter. Whole trees that fell on private property are up to the homeowner to remove.

Winds: The highest wind gusts, up to 61 mph, were reported in Otis on Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

People: No injuries or deaths locally.
