PITTSFIELD -- A Cheshire woman has pleaded not guilty to charges of embezzling about $110,000 from TD Bank over an 18-month period.
Jennifer A. Thurston, 39, of Ingalls Road, is charged with single counts of embezzlement by a bank employee and larceny in an ongoing and continuing offense over $250. Thurston no longer works at TD Bank.
She was arraigned in Berkshire Superior Court on Monday with her attorney, Jill Sheldon.
Judge Mary Lou Rup released Thurston on personal recognizance pending a final pretrial hearing on Dec. 14.
Prosecutors allege Thurston embezzled the money from TD Bank between Feb. 1, 2008, and June 30, 2009, while she was a teller. She was arrested after an investigation by the Pittsfield Police Department.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Robert W. Kinzer III.
