To the editor:

The Berkshire Museum executive director's sudden and unexplained cancellation of Wednesday's long scheduled meeting with the Massachusetts Cultural Council is the straw that breaks the camel's back.

It is time for the museum Board of Trustees to respond to the director's unrelenting, cloaked activity and immediately pause the Nov. 13 Sotheby's sale, pause the deaccession and ask for the executive director's resignation.
