To the editor:

Has anyone made efforts to get the Berkshire Museum to sell the Rockwell paintings to the Norman Rockwell Museum for a partial cash payment and the balance by way of a promissory note payable over a period of years? Both institutions can be protected by appropriate legal documents.

Think of the advantages to both museums. The Rockwell Museum will increase its collection and the Berkshire Museum will have cash flow from the promissory note just like other investments in its endowments.
