The spring book sale hosted by Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum will offer shoppers thousands of clean, well-sorted books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, vinyl records, games, puzzles, and eight-track cassettes.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18, in the library auditorium, 1 Wendell Ave.

The sale will be open to members of the Friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 16. A $10 individual membership can be purchased at the door.

Shoppers can check their selected books at a book minders' table while they continue to shop. A speed checkout for small orders has been added. A credit card can be used to make purchases.
