PITTSFIELD — City police are searching for the suspect who they say shot another man Saturday night on Spring Street.

At around 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and multiple phone calls of shots fired in the area of 54 Spring St. Upon arrival, police say they found a 38-year-old man with injures that were not life threatening from a "projectile grazing" his leg, according to a news release from the Pittsfield Police Department.

Witnesses told police the suspect was a white male, about 6 feet tall and wearing a dark colored jacket. He was last seen fleeing southbound on Spring Street. A K-9 unit tracked the shooter and found a firearm and other evidence discarded by the suspect. Investigators also collected surveillance video from the area. Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
