SHEFFIELD — Southern Berkshire Regional School District Superintendent Beth Regulbuto is looking for members of the district's communities to help develop fall reopening plans for the district and its schools.

Participants in the District Reopening Task Force should be able to commit to meeting virtually between July 9 and Aug. 7. The first meeting is tentatively schedule for 5 p.m. July 9 via Zoom.

The group will likely include School Committee members, school nurses, administrators, teachers, support staff, counselor, parents, community members and members of local boards of health.

Task force subgroups will tackle issues such as teaching, learning and technology; student support services including special education and English language learning programs; personnel, staffing and finances; facilities, operations and transportation; and communications.

The full task force will meet every other week for three weeks, and the subcommittees will meet on the off weeks as needed. Recommended district and school reopening plans must be ready to submit to the state by early to mid-August.

Those interested in participating should send an email by 5 p.m. Tuesday to the Superintendent's Office via Lynette Gagnon at lgagnon@sbrsd.org.
