SPRINGFIELD — MGM Springfield is offering a tuition reimbursement for students entering classes at the Massachusetts Casino Career Training Institute Gaming School in Springfield. Classes are forming now and begin Feb. 26.Students who successfully complete two or more courses at the new gaming school, and obtain a job with MGM Springfield, will be eligible for the tuition reimbursement if they remain employed with the casino for one year after the property's grand opening. MGM Springfield is scheduled to open during the third quarter of this year.Successful completion of two or more classes guarantees a graduate an audition with MGM Springfield, which is seeking to hire 450 table games and poker dealers. The gaming school is operated by Training and Workforce Options, a collaboration between Holyoke Community College and Springfield Technical Community College.
