The Hoosic River Watershed Association and the Clark Art Institute are hosting "Rivers and Reverence," a series of programs exploring how the Hoosic River, its tributaries and watershed contribute to the sense of home in the Berkshires.

An exhibition of 50 photographs taken by community members is on display in the Lunder Center at the Clark Art Institute.

A work party will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19, to cut brush for the new Linear Park Trail link. Volunteers will meet at the chapel at East Lawn Cemetery, across from Aubuchon Hardware, Route 2. Wear sturdy shoes and work gloves; bring loppers, clippers, and/or bow saws. Hopkins Memorial Forest Manager Drew Jones will lead a two hour hike from the Hopkins Forest parking lot to the site of the old Wire Bridge at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. Wear boots or good walking shoes and bring lunch and water. Binoculars are recommended.
