Pittsfield man ordered held without bail on murder charge

PITTSFIELD — Desmond Phillip and Teddy Cepeda had an “ongoing feud” over a woman, according to police, and on Friday it came to a head.

Phillip, 42, is accused of fatally shooting Cepeda in the chest that night outside a residence at 7 Goodrich St. On Monday, he was ordered held without bail during a hearing before Judge Jennifer Tyne in Central Berkshire District Court.
