PITTSFIELD — Berkshire County Arc, along with BCArc’s Down Syndrome Family Group, has awarded a total of $6,200 in scholarship money to five recent Berkshire County high school graduates who will be pursuing undergraduate education in the field of human services. 

This year's recipients are:

• Catie Ronayne, of Wahconah Regional High School, who received the BCArc Down Syndrome Family Group Scholarship to attend the University of New Hampshire-Durham and major in early childhood special education;

• Laurel Ralph, of Monument Mountain Regional High School, who received the Carol Craighead Memorial Scholarship Award to attend the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and major in psychology;

• Janine King, of Drury High School, to attend the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and major in psychology.

Also receiving scholarships were:

• Sasha Grosz, of Pittsfield High School, to attend the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and major in nursing;

• Ellie Miller, of Lee High School, to attend Sacred Heart University and major in communication disorders and speech language pathology.
