CEO steps down; will chair board


PITTSFIELD — Richmond resident Brynne Kennedy has stepped down as CEO of the talent mobility company Topia, which she founded nine years ago, but will continue as chairwoman of the company's board of directors. Shawn Farshchi, a technology executive with 30 years of industry experience, will replace her as the company's CEO.Kennedy, who grew up in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School, recently joined New York City-based art technology company See.Me as an advisor, and will be supporting the firm's expansion to the Berkshires. A book that Kennedy wrote sharing success strategies to transform businesses will be published this year. She plans to focus on creating jobs, expanding innovation and ensuring equal opportunity for Western Massachusetts residents.
