PITTSFIELD — Matthew P. Lauro has joined Pittsfield Cooperative Bank as vice president/commercial banking. He will be responsible for managing and increasing the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.
In his 10-plus years of industry experience, Lauro has worked for Fidelity Management and Research as a credit research associate; Longfellow Investment Management as a senior credit analyst; and State Street Bank as vice president/credit analyst for leveraged lending.
Lauro most recently served as vice president of emerging markets, running a foreign exchange and rates product specializing in the Latin American region on behalf of State Street Bank.
Lauro recently moved to Berkshire County with his wife, Susanna, an attorney, and their dog, Tony. He holds a degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he captained the football team for two years.
