NORTH ADAMS — Travis McCready, the former president and CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, has joined small business incubator Lever's board of trustees. A senior consultant and thought leader, McCready has over 20 years of economic development experience in private, public and large scale not-for-profit institutions.
McCready served as president and CEO of the MLSC from 2015 to 2019, during the time the state agency helped provide the funding to build the $13.8 million Berkshire Innovation Center in Pittsfield.
He has also served as the vice president for programs at The Boston Foundation; first executive director of the Kendall Square Association; and held the COO and CFO positions at the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.
McCready holds a bachelor of arts degree from Yale University and a law degree from the University of Iowa. He and his wife, Tanya, live in the Boston area.
