State prison awarded to Heidi Kushi, who pleaded guilty to stealing from her employer, Donovan Construction

A former employee of Donovan Construction pleaded guilty to larceny charges Monday in Berkshire Superior Court.

PITTSFIELD — After Donovan Construction hired Heidi Kushi, the firm came to see her as a member of the family.

Today, she’s a convicted felon, after she pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of larceny over $1,200, nearly five years after the owners of Donovan Construction noticed funds missing from their business.
