Cardillo testifies

A defamation lawsuit filed by former Stockbridge Fire Chief Ernest J. “Chuck” Cardillo Jr. was dismissed by a Berkshire Superior Court judge.

PITTSFIELD — Ernest “Chuck” Cardillo has lost his third lawsuit against a former colleague on the Stockbridge Select Board.

Cardillo’s civil claim accused Donald Chabon of defamation and infliction of emotional distress for comments he made to a Springfield Republican reporter covering protests that surrounded Cardillo’s 2019 termination from his post as Stockbridge fire chief.
