UPDATED: Man shot and injured on Adam Street in Pittsfield; juvenile's role is being investigated


A male was taken to Berkshire Medical Center for treatment after he was shot near the First Street Cumberland Farms on Tuesday afternoon. 

PITTSFIELD — A man was shot and injured just before 4 p.m. Tuesday on Adam Street near Cumberland Farms, police said, and a juvenile's role in the incident is under investigation.

The 19-year-old man shot was not immediately identified. He was transported to Berkshire Medical Center, police said, with a non-life threatening injury.
