A Pittsfield woman accused of abandoning 15 cats during a storm last January is expected to enter a plea deal

The cats that survived being abandoned in frigid temperatures received care at the Berkshire Humane Society in Pittsfield. 

PITTSFIELD — Almost a year after allegedly abandoning 15 cats during a winter storm, a Pittsfield woman is expected to enter a plea agreement in the case.

Kelly Hathaway, 50, is expected to change her plea in Central Berkshire District Court today, when the details of the agreement should be finalized, subject to approval by a judge.
