Mayor Tom Bernard has announced earlier this year that he would not seek reelection to a third term. Bernard was elected in 2017, and will be succeeded by Jennifer Macksey, who will be sworn in on New Year's Day.

NORTH ADAMS — When he was sworn in for a second term as mayor in 2020, Tom Bernard had carefully curated plans.
