A scarlet tanager hops around in the branches of a tree in Richmond. According to Max Galdos-Shapiro, the education coordinator for Mass. Audubon's Berkshire Sanctuaries, the bird could either be a female, a juvenile, or a non-breeding male scarlet tanager.
