Springside House is getting a new roof, window renovations and historically appropriate storm windows, all at once. The roof work is being done by Capeway Roofing Systems for $245,800, the Windows by David J Tierney, Jr. Inc. from Pittsfield and the storm windows by Martino Glass, of Pittsfield (subcontractor to Tierney) for $269,900. Barry Architects is the designer for the project. Springside House is on the National Register of Historic Places and governed by a state Preservation Restriction; these improvements were reviewed and approved by the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
