Using hot, dark-colored wax, Ilyas Adams-EL Guabli, 8, decorates an egg during a Ukrainian Pysanky Easter Egg workshop to benefit Ukraine relief efforts on Sunday at the First Congregational Church in Williamstown.
After the egg is decorated with wax, it is dunked in dye and, once dry, more wax is applied. The egg is then submerged in more dye.
Using hot, dark-colored wax, Ilyas Adams-EL Guabli, 8, blows on an egg as he decorates it.
Once the egg has been dyed a few times, the wax, which was used to decorate the egg after each dye, is melted off to reveal different layers of colors, as well as the finished product.
