The 2023 Steel Rail Races were held Sunday, May 21, along the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. Runners raced along the mostly flat, paved trail to compete in the marathon, half marathon or 8K.

It was a pretty good day to be an Alex White at the Steel Rail races Sunday. Alex White of Dalton is the half-marathon champ, while Alex White of Williamstown — who won the half in 2021 — is the marathon champ.
