A Lenox school administrator has been placed on leave, but he says he doesn't know why. And district leaders are mum

The assistant principal at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School has been placed on "approved leave," but he said he's not sure why. District officials haven't given a reason thus far.

LENOX — Brent Bette, the assistant principal at Lenox Memorial Middle and High School, has been placed on an “approved leave,” schools Superintendent Marc J. Gosselin Jr. said on Tuesday.

The reason for the leave, however, was unclear.

Bette acknowledged that an investigation was ongoing, but said he did not know why.
