LEE — Expect to see construction crews fixing bridges on both sides of the Mass Pike this coming week. Delays and reduced speeds could result.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation says construction and maintenance work will be conducted Monday through Friday at sections of the highway in Otis, Becket and Lee, as well as in the Hampden County towns of Blandford and Russell.
Work is planned for travel both east- and westbound from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The DOT says lanes will be open through work zones.
Here’s where it will be happening:
Otis: Bridge repair on I-90 eastbound and westbound at Mile Marker 23 from Tuesday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work will force occasional lane shifts, DOT says.
Becket: Bridge repair at Mile Marker 15.9 from Tuesday through Friday, same hours.
Lee: Bridge repair at Mile Marker 12.2 from Tuesday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work will also take place at Mile Marker 12.2 on Tuesday from 4 to 11 p.m.
In Blandford and Russell, nighttime milling and paving will happen on the westbound side from Mile Marker 36 to Mile Marker 29 Tuesday through Thursday, lasting from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning.
Also in Russell, the DOT expects to repair drains on the eastbound side at Mile Marker 34.5 from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All work schedules are weather-dependent, the department said.
