Off-road motorcycle strikes deer in Cheshire, causing minor injuries

An off-road motorcycle collided with a deer today in the area of 324 E. Harbor Road in Cheshire on Sunday, causing non-life threatening injuries to the rider.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene, which was called in at about 3:15 p.m. on Sunday. A sergeant with the state police said the rider of the motorcycle was transported by emergency services to receive medical attention for minor injuries.

The deer was gone from the scene when the state police arrived.
