The Mason Library in Great Barrington will reopen for limited browsing on Tuesday.

GREAT BARRINGTON — The Mason Library will reopen for limited browsing Tuesday, and guests will have the opportunity to view new releases, audiobooks, DVDs and cookbooks.

Browsing hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Meanwhile, curbside pickup is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at Mason Library, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Ramsdell Library.

Social distancing and capacity limits mean that visits are restricted to 30 minutes, and all visitors must enter and exit through the side door on Dresser Avenue.

Certain areas of the library remain closed, but items from those areas can be obtained by asking a library staff member. All book returns should continue to be placed in book drops, and returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before they can go back into circulation. The library also is waiving fines on late material at this time.
