LENOX — A busy local election season is shaping up, with two Select Board and three School Committee seats in play, depending on whether current officeholders choose to run again and whether challenges emerge.

Nomination papers are available from Town Clerk Kerry Sullivan for the annual springtime balloting.

Two three-year Select Board seats, held by Edward Lane and Neal Maxymillian, will be on the ballot. Also up for potential contests are three School Committee slots, also for three years, now filled by Molly Elliot, Anne Marie O’Brien and Francie Sorrentino.

A five-year Planning Board seat held by Pam Kueber also is at stake; Kueber has taken out papers, signaling her interest in remaining on the board.

The one-year town moderator position, held by John McNinch, is on the ballot, as well as a three-year Board of Health post now held by Dr. Noel Blagg, and a three-year position on the Board of Assessors, held by Paula King.

Candidates are asked to contact Sullivan to obtain the papers via email, to ksullivan@townoflenox.com, or call 413-637-5500, ext. 1207.

Completed nomination papers must be returned for certification by 5 p.m. March 22. Signatures of 27 registered Lenox voters are required.

The annual town election is scheduled for May 10. All dates and times are subject to change through executive orders issued by Gov. Charlie Baker.
